Our Joinery Workshop team recently completed extensive work to The National Trust of Guernsey Folk and Costume Museum at Saumarez Park.
Essential repairs were required to a number of timber external doors at the Museum, including barn doors, shed doors, ledged and braced doors, sliding doors and even pig sty doors.
Various skills were required to ensure the doors were brought back to good working order, including the adjusting and repair of the running gear for the sliding doors, the fitting of weather bars to the base of some doors and scarfing to numerous external doors.
Work was also required to a number of sliding sash windows whereby battens, cills and the sash’s themselves needed repairing.
Once the repair works were complete, our Joinery team undertook the redecoration of all windows and external doors of the Folk and Costume Museum which has given the Museum a fresh, new look and a much needed face-lift.
The National Trust added, ‘We cannot thank Rihoy & Son enough for their exceptional workmanship, professional manner and for their excellent communication skills. It has been a pleasure working with the team on yet another successful project.’
