Moores Hotel
The full refurbishment of the Moores Hotel ground floor in St Peter Port has been completed in collaboration with the Sarnia Hotels Group.
The project covered the entrance, reception, restrooms and Jack’s Bar, with accessibility improvements including a redesigned entryway, new handrails, a wheelchair friendly reception and a disabled toilet. The former office by the entrance was rebuilt to support better internal flow.
During the works, unexpected waterproofing issues were uncovered behind restroom walls. Given the hillside location, enhanced tanking was required to ensure long term protection. All work was carefully managed while the hotel remained open.
Completed on schedule, the result is a refreshed and accessible space that preserves the heritage of the building while supporting modern hotel operations.
