Rihoy & Son Junior Golfer Spotlight: Felix Marshall

To round of the season, we’re highlighting the achievements of Felix Marshall, a talented young golfer for the Royal Guernsey Golf Club Junior Section, which we’re proud to sponsor.

Having started the season as a 13-year old with an 8.5 handicap, he quickly reduced this to 4.2 by the beginning of August.

August was off to a solid start with 37pts in the junior boys NSV Trophy, followed up with 39pts in the Royal Guernsey Junior Open, two events sponsored by Rihoy & Son.

Later on in the season, Felix was competing in the rescheduled Inter-Club Piccadilly Trophy and Brymay Cups, one of the island’s major golfing events. In nett proceedings, Felix managed two rounds of 73/68 and 74/69 – a total score of 137 and a runner-up finish. Felix just missed out on the trophy by one shot. In the gross standings he finished 4th, beaten by Conor McKenna, Lewis Marley and Danny Blondel.

Felix is currently a 2.9 handicap, having impressed in the annual junior inter-insular match vs Jersey and is working hard during his off-season. Congratulations and keep up the good work, Felix.
