As proud sponsors of the Royal Guernsey Golf Club Junior Section, Rihoy & Son is committed to supporting the development of young golfers and celebrating their achievements through our Junior Player of the Month feature.
Our latest recipient is Gus Carre, whose progress this season has been exceptional. Through hard work, determination and consistent performances, Gus has enjoyed a remarkable year on the course.
One of his standout achievements came with victory in the UV Trophy, Guernsey’s only four day strokeplay competition. Gus secured the title by a single shot after impressive rounds of 77, 74, 73 and 82, demonstrating both consistency and composure throughout the tournament.
His improvement this season has been equally impressive. Having started the year with a handicap of 9.8, Gus has reduced it to an outstanding 4.8, highlighting the commitment he has shown to developing his game.
With plenty of golf still to be played this season, we look forward to seeing Gus continue his progress and build on what has already been an excellent year.
